Obituary for Tara L Miller (Richardson)

Tara L. Miller, 41, of Karthaus, passed away on Saturday, December 14, 2019 at the Clearfield Hospital. Born on October 9, 1978, in State College, she was the daughter of David K. Richardson, of San Diego, CA and JoAnn L. (Confer) Fiorito, of Mineral Point, PA. She was engaged to Donald E. Granite, of Karthaus, who survives at home.

Tara was a 1997 graduate of Penns Valley Area High School. She was a member of the Salem Lutheran Church in Aaronsburg. She was a homemaker, and a very good one at that. She took pride in taking care of her home and family.

Tara was blessed with a green thumb and could take most plants and flowers from the brink of death and give them life. She loved to garden, whether it be flowers, plants or vegetables, she loved it all. She enjoyed restoring furniture and antiques and taking trips on the motorcycle whenever possible. She had a passion for music and would sing along any chance she got. Those that knew her would say she had a way of making those around her feel welcome and loved.

Tara is survived by; her parents, David K. Richardson of San Diego, CA and JoAnn L. (Confer) Fiorito and her husband, Mark, of Mineral Point, fiancé, Donald E. Granite, of Karthaus, two sons; Jarek O. Miller, of Madisonburg and Trenton E. Granite, of Karthaus, one sister, Samantha J. Richardson and her significant other, Sean Kelly, of San Diego, CA and one nephew, JD Kelly.

Tara is also survived by her paternal grandmother, Dorothy Whitehill, of Rebersburg, her maternal grandmother Mildred L. Johnson and her husband, Melvin, of Ridgway, numerous aunts and uncles including a special Aunt Brenda Wert, of Pleasant Gap, who used to watch Tara as a child, and many cousins including Cara Fomich, of Seven Mountains, with whom she was very close to, and many friends that she loved and cherished as well.

Tara was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Glenn Richardson and her maternal grandfather, Eudell M. Confer.

Friends and family will be received on Thursday, December 19, 2019 from 6-7pm at the Daughenbaugh Funeral Home in Centre Hall. A memorial service will follow at 7pm with Pastor Debra Dailey officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Tara’s honor to The HOPE Fund of Penns Valley, PO Box 427, Centre Hall, PA 16828.
