Obituary

Rallings B. Roseway, 84, of Bellefonte, passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, May 7, 2020. God treasures the death of his people, for in their passing, He welcomes them home in Heaven to live forever. Born on November 1, 1935, in Montego Bay, Jamaica, he was the son of the late Standford and Mercella (Cummingham) Roseway. On February 12, 2002, in Melbourne, FL, he married Eddie Mae Jones, who survives at home.

Rallings was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church. He was a true believer in Jesus Christ and the teachings in the Bible. He worked in construction and agriculture for various companies throughout Florida before retiring and moving to Bellefonte, Pennsylvania.

Rallings had a “green hand”. He loved working in the garden and could make all things grow. He enjoyed traveling with his wife, making many trips to Jamaica to visit his family.

Rallings is survived by his wife, two sons: Fitzroy Roseway and his wife, Felicia, and Weston Roseway; four daughters: Leonie Roseway, Kurlan Roseway, Claudette Scott, and her husband, Randolph and Judith Shaw and her husband, Woody; seven step sons: Leon Hill, Jr. and his wife, Shawn, Vincent Hill and his wife, Tawana, Samuel Hill, Theodore Hill and his wife, Andrea, Jason Hill and his wife, Debrice, Matthew Hill and Phillip Hill and two step daughters: Teresa Abdulbaaqee and her husband, Hammid, and Melissa Cromer and her husband, Timothy.

Also surviving are his four brothers: Wesley Roseway and his wife, Herman, Leberg and his wife, Barbara, Weston Roseway, and Roderick Roseway and his wife, Declina; one sister, Jocelyn William and her husband, Earnest, 62 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

There will be a private visitation at the Daughenbaugh Funeral Home in Center Hall followed by a private burial at Zion Union Cemetery in Zion, Pennsylvania.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Daughenbaugh Funeral Home, Inc. 228 S. Pennsylvania Ave, Centre Hall. An online guest book can be signed or condolences to the family available at www.daughenbaughfuneralhome.com.

Please accept my heartfelt sympathy for the loss of a wonderful man. I have been truly blessed to have shared the last 4 years with Ralling and Mae at Crestside Terrace. To know this special couple; is to love them. I can't think of one without the other. I will always remember Ralling's huge smile and kind words. He always praised my work and efforts. He shared words of inspiration and wisdom for me, which I was always glad to hear. I have witnessed true devotion, dedication, and love watching Ralling and Mae as a couple. There is no denying their faith and love for each other. Mae spent tireless days and nights caring for Ralling and did it with strength, faith, grace and love to the very end. I hope Mae can find comfort with her "Precious Memories" of the years of love they shared. Many thoughts and prayers to the whole family of Ralling and Mae from their friends and neighbors at Crestside Terrace.
