Lynn E. Korman, 80, of Centre Hall, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 7, 2019 at the Wynwood House in Centre Hall. Born November 5, 1938, he was the son of the late Clifford I. and Mary Margaret Whitehill Korman. On February 11, 1966, in Progress, PA, he married Karen A. Roger, who survives at home.
Lynn was a 1957 graduate of State College High School. Following high school, he was drafted into the US Army. While stationed at Fort Bragg, NC, he became a fireman on base. He earned the rank of Private First Class and received the Good Conduct Medal for his years of service.
Lynn later attended classes at Penn State University. He was a foreman for Penn State Fleet Operations, retiring in 1995. Prior to working at Penn State, he worked for Weis in State College. He could also be found working security at Centre County Grange Fair for over 20 years.
Lynn was a Mason for many years. He was a member of the Sprucetown Methodist Church, a post member for the American Legion Smith-Pletcher Post 779 in Centre Hall, a lifetime member of the Centre Hall Fire Company, and drove ambulance for a number of years for Centre Hall/Potter ambulance. He enjoyed watching PSU wrestling and Lady’s basketball, but he was an avid PSU football fan. He loved Grange Fair and Disney world. He had made more than 25 trips to Disney over the years and as soon as he crossed into Florida and entered Disney, it was as if he became superman, making it difficult for his family to keep up with him.
Lynn is survived by; his wife, Karen, one son, Jeff L. Korman and his girlfriend, Laura Armitage, of Vandergrift, PA, one daughter Ellen L. Veruete and her husband, Ricardo, of Bellefonte, one granddaughter, Kierra L. Drapcho and her husband, Tyler, of Bellefonte, one great grandson, Chayton Drapcho, and one sister, Audrey M. Burch of Newport,
Along with his parents, Lynn is preceded in death by; one son, Patrick B. Korman, one brother, Donald Korman, and one sister, JoAnne Stouffer.
Private services will be held at a later date.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Daughenbaugh Funeral Home, Inc 228 S. Pennsylvania Ave. Centre Hall, PA 16828. An online guest book can be signed or condolences to the family available at
